Yambrasbamba is a district located in the Bongará Province of Peru. Established on December 26, 1870, the district covers a total area of 1.715,96 km² and currently has a population of approximately 12,000 inhabitants. The capital of the district is the city of Yambrasbamba, which sits at an elevation of 1,903 meters above sea level.
The region is characterized by its natural environment, featuring large trees, various types of orchids, and the Imaza River, which flows through the area. The local population is primarily rural and of mixed origin, engaged in diverse agricultural and livestock activities. Key economic practices include raising cattle for milk production and cultivating crops such as yacón, corn, carrots, swallows, and coffee.
