Puerto Caimito is a town and corregimiento located in the La Chorrera District of the Panamá Oeste Province in Panama. As of the 2010 census, the area had a population of 16,951, reflecting significant growth from 3,623 residents in 1990 and 7,198 in 2000.
The location is notable for being the boyhood home of Mariano Rivera, who served as a relief pitcher for the New York Yankees.
