El Picador is a corregimiento located in the Cañazas District of the Veraguas Province in Panama. It serves as a local administrative division within the country's interior region.
The area was officially established through a series of legislative measures, beginning with Law 10 on March 7, 1997. This initial creation was subsequently complemented by Law 5 on January 19, 1998, and Law 69 on October 28, 1998. According to census data, the population of El Picador was 3,089 in the year 2000 and reached 3,065 by 2010.
