Tortí is a corregimiento located in the Chepo District of the Panamá Province in Panama. It was officially established on July 29, 1998, through Law 58, which was enacted following the Declaration of Unconstitutionality of Law 1 of 1982.
The area has seen steady population growth over recent decades. According to census data, Tortí had a population of 8,030 in the year 2000, which increased to 9,297 by 2010.
