Macaracas is a historic town and corregimiento located in the Los Santos Province of Panama. It serves as the seat of the Macaracas District.
According to census data, the population of the area has grown steadily over recent decades. The population was recorded at 2,423 in 1990, increasing to 2,706 by 2000, and reaching 2,890 as of 2010.
