Parita is a town and corregimiento located in the Parita District of Panama's Herrera Province. It serves as the administrative seat of the district and was originally founded in 1556.
The population of the area has shown steady growth over recent decades, rising from 3,257 in 1990 to 3,616 in 2000. As of the 2010 census, the population was recorded at 3,723.
