Gualaca is a corregimiento located in the Chiriquí Province of Panama. It serves as the seat of the Gualaca District and covers a total land area of 237.3 square kilometres (91.6 sq mi).
The region has experienced steady population growth over recent decades, rising from 4,099 residents in 1990 to 4,430 in 2000. As of the 2010 census, the population was recorded at 5,605, resulting in a population density of approximately 23.6 inhabitants per square kilometre (61/sq mi).
