Wukan is a coastal fishing village situated in the Donghai Subdistrict of Lufeng, a county-level city in Guangdong Province, China. It is located approximately 120 km (75 mi) east of Hong Kong along the coast of the South China Sea.
The village has a population of approximately 13,000 residents. It is primarily characterized by its coastal location and its role as a fishing community.
