Bawshar is a province located in the Muscat region of northeastern Oman. Geographically, it is situated between the wilayat of Muttrah to the east and the wilayat of Seeb to the west, while its northern coastline overlooks the Sea of Oman.
The area is characterized by significant natural and historical features, including several archaeological sites. It also contains the Qurm Nature Reserve, which is designated as a Ramsar site.
