Amargadhi

Amargadhi is a municipality located in western Nepal. It serves as the district headquarters for Dadeldhura District within the Sudurpashchim Province.

The city was named in honor of Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa, who participated in the Gurkha War between 1814 and 1816. According to the 2011 Nepal census, Amargadhi had a population of 21,245 people residing in 4,778 households.
