Chautara Sangachokgadhi is a municipality located in the Sindhupalchowk District of Bagmati Province in central Nepal. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,600 meters above sea level, it serves as the district headquarters for Sindhupalchowk.
The municipality was established on May 18, 2014, through the merger of Pipaldanda, Chautara, Kubhinde, and Sanusiruwari Village Development Committees. It was further expanded in 2017 to include Sangachok, Thulo Sirubari, Kadambas, Irkhu, Batase, and Syaule Village Development Committees. The municipality is currently divided into 14 wards.
The area features a cosmopolitan culture shaped by residents of various religious beliefs, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity. While Nepali is the most commonly spoken language, Newari and Tamang are also spoken as these groups dominate the local population. Religious and cultural festivities are significant aspects of daily life in the municipality.
