Malangwa is a town and municipality located in the Madhesh Province of Nepal. It serves as the headquarters for the Sarlahi District and is recognized as the district's oldest municipality, situated within Parliamentary Constituency 2.
The town is positioned at an altitude of 79 meters (259 ft) above sea level. It is located approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Nawalpur along the Mahendra Highway. Malangwa is situated near the Indian border at Sonbarsa, which features a customs checkpoint at the border crossing.
