Svartnes

Svartnes is a small village and port situated in the municipality of Vardø within Finnmark county, Norway. It is located on the mainland of the Varanger Peninsula, positioned across the Bussesundet strait from the island of Vardøya, where the town of Vardø is located.

The area features a large harbor and port protected by a significant breakwater. Svartnes serves as a transportation hub, housing the Vardø Airport and serving as a point on the European route E75 highway. The highway passes through the village just before entering the Vardø Tunnel, which connects the mainland to the town of Vardø. Nearby landmarks include the mountain Domen to the south and the village of Kiberg, located approximately 10 kilometres to the south.
