Arendal is a municipality located in Agder county in southeastern Norway. It belongs to the region of Sørlandet, and its administrative center is the city of Arendal.
The municipality includes several notable villages, such as Rykene, Eydehavn, Færvik, Strengereid, Kongshavn, Kilsund, Brattekleiv, Torsbudalen, Longum, Saltrød, Staubø, Vrengen, and Kolbjørnsvik. Additionally, the city serves as a location for the offices of UNEP/GRID-Arendal.
