Vinstra is a town located in the Nord-Fron Municipality within the Innlandet county of Norway. It serves as the administrative center for the municipality and is situated in the Gudbrandsdalen valley at the confluence of the Vinstra river and the Gudbrandsdalslågen river.
The town covers an area of 3.13 square kilometres (770 acres). As of 2024, Vinstra has a population of 2,674 residents, resulting in a population density of approximately 854 inhabitants per square kilometre.
