Holmestrand is a town located in Holmestrand Municipality within the Vestfold county of Norway. It serves as the administrative center for the municipality and is situated along the shore of the Ytre Oslofjord.
The town is positioned approximately 13 kilometres northwest of Horten and about 12 kilometres south of the village of Sande i Vestfold. The larger town of Drammen is located roughly 30 kilometres to the north of Holmestrand.
