Ålgård is a village located in Norway that serves as the administrative centre of Gjesdal Municipality in Rogaland county. It is situated along the European route E39 highway, approximately 10 kilometres southeast of the city of Sandnes within the Jæren district.
The village comprises several neighborhoods, including Ålgård, Bærland, Fiskebekk, Opstad, and Solås. Geographically, it is positioned near the large lake Edlandsvatnet to its south, which empties into the river Figgjoelva that flows northwest toward Sandnes.
