Svolvær, also known as Suolvearra in Northern Sami or Spålavuolle in Lule Sami, is a town located in Norway. It serves as the administrative centre of Vågan Municipality within Nordland County. The town is situated on the island of Austvågøya in the Lofoten archipelago along the Vestfjorden.
The town covers an area of 2.36 square kilometres (580 acres). As of 2023, Svolvær has a population of 4,736 people, resulting in a population density of approximately 2,007 inhabitants per square kilometre.
