Silvalen, also known as Herøyholmen, serves as the administrative center of Herøy Municipality in the Nordland county of Norway. The settlement is situated on two distinct islands, Nord-Herøy and Sør-Herøy, which are separated by the Herøysundet strait.
The village is connected across the water by the Herøysundet Bridge. A notable local landmark is the Herøy Church, which is located in the southern portion of the village.
