Korgen

Korgen is the administrative centre of Hemnes Municipality, located in the Nordland county of Norway. Situated along the river Røssåga, the village lies approximately 8 kilometres south of Bjerka. It serves as a significant urban hub within the municipality, covering an area of 0.98 square kilometres with a population density of 931 inhabitants per square kilometre.

The village is connected to the nearby towns of Mo i Rana and Mosjøen via the European route E6 highway. Additionally, the eastern end of the Korgfjell Tunnel is located in Korgen. Other nearby locations include the village of Bleikvassli, which is situated about 20 kilometres to the south along Norwegian County Road 806.
