Papendrecht is a town and municipality located in the western part of the Netherlands within the province of South Holland. It is situated at the strategic crossing point of the River Beneden Merwede and the Noord River.
The municipality covers a total area of 10.79 km2 (4.17 sq mi), with approximately 1.38 km2 (0.53 sq mi) consisting of water. As of 2021, the population of Papendrecht was recorded at 32,171.
