Dordrecht is a city and municipality located in the Western Netherlands within the province of South Holland. Historically referred to in English as Dordt or Dort, it serves as an established urban center in the region.
The city is the fifth-largest in the province of South Holland, following Rotterdam, The Hague, Leiden, and Zoetermeer. As of 2025, Dordrecht has a population of approximately 123,000 residents.
