Alblasserdam

Alblasserdam is a town and municipality located in the western Netherlands within the province of South Holland. It covers a total area of 10.06 km2 (3.88 sq mi), with approximately 1.28 km2 (0.49 sq mi) consisting of water. As of 2021, the municipality has a population of 20,136.

The town is officially part of the Drechtsteden region. Notably, a portion of the village of Kinderdijk falls within Alblasserdam; this area is home to the largest and most famous concentration of windmills in the Netherlands.
