Rhenen is a municipality and city located in the central Netherlands. The municipality encompasses several areas, including the villages of Achterberg, Remmerden, and Elst.
The town is situated at the southernmost point of the Utrecht Hill Ridge, where the ridge meets the river Rhine. Due to this geographical positioning, Rhenen is characterized by significant elevation changes throughout the town.
