IJsselstein

IJsselstein is a municipality and city located in the province of Utrecht in the Netherlands. The city received its official city rights in 1331. Its name is derived from the Hollandse IJssel, a river that flows through the city.

The area serves as a major commuting suburb for the Utrecht region, alongside neighboring towns such as Houten and Nieuwegein. IJsselstein is geographically surrounded by the municipalities of Utrecht, Montfoort, Lopik, Vijfheerenlanden, and Nieuwegein.
