Haarlem is a city and municipality located in the Netherlands. It serves as the capital of the province of North Holland and is situated at the northern edge of the Randstad, which is one of the most populated metropolitan areas in Europe.
The city is also considered part of the Amsterdam metropolitan area. As of 2021, Haarlem had a recorded population of 162,543 residents.
