Den Helder is an industrial port town located in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands. It occupies the northernmost point of the North Holland peninsula.
The city serves as the location for the country's main naval base. Additionally, it functions as a transportation hub where the Royal TESO ferryboat service operates the link between Den Helder and the nearby Dutch Wadden island of Texel to the north.
