Beverwijk is an industrial port city located in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands. It is situated within the Randstad metropolitan area, approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Amsterdam.
The town is positioned north of the North Sea Canal and very close to the North Sea coast. Connectivity between Beverwijk and the nearby city of Haarlem on the south side of the canal is facilitated by a railway tunnel and two motorway tunnels.
