Veghel is a town located in the Southern Netherlands. It previously functioned as an independent municipality until it underwent a significant administrative restructuring on January 1, 2017.
As part of this reorganization, Veghel merged with the neighboring towns of Schijndel and Sint-Oedenrode to form the new municipality of Meierijstad. This merger resulted in the creation of the largest municipality in the province of North Brabant by land area.
