Schijndel is a town and former municipality located in the province of North Brabant in the southern region of the Netherlands. It is situated approximately 14 kilometres southeast of 's-Hertogenbosch.
Founded on December 6, 1309, Schijndel underwent a significant administrative change on January 1, 2017. On this date, it merged with the towns of Veghel and Sint-Oedenrode to form the new municipality of Meierijstad, which became the largest municipality in North Brabant by land area.
