Hoensbroek is a town located in the province of Limburg in the southeastern region of the Netherlands. It currently serves as part of the municipality of Heerlen.
Historically, Hoensbroek functioned as an independent municipality until 1982. It remains a recognized settlement within the southeast of the country.
