La Ceiba is a port city located on the northern coast of Honduras in Central America. It serves as the capital of the Honduran department of Atlántida and is situated on the southern edge of the Caribbean, forming part of the southeastern boundary of the Gulf of Honduras.
As one of the country's primary urban centers, La Ceiba is the third most important city in Honduras and the fourth most populous. The city has an estimated population of 209,000 people distributed across approximately 170 residential areas.
