Estelí, officially known as Villa de San Antonio de Pavia de Estelí, is a city and municipality located within the Estelí department in northern Nicaragua. It serves as an active commercial center for the region and is frequently referred to as "the Diamond of the Segovia" or the de facto capital of the north.
The city ranks as the eighth-largest municipality in Nicaragua, largely due to a high urbanization rate of 84.8% within its borders. It has an urban population of approximately 111,244 residents.
