Nafada is a town located in the northern part of Gombe State, Nigeria. It serves as one of the eleven Local Government Areas (LGA) within the state. The area is situated along the Gongola River, which traverses the region.
According to the 2006 census, the Nafada LGA covers a total area of 1,586 square kilometres and has a population of 138,185 people. The local government is divided into ten wards: Nafada East, Nafada Central, Nafada West, Jigawa, Birnin Fulani East, Birnin Bolewa, Birnin Fulani West, Gudukku, Barwo/Nasarawo, and Barwo Winde.
