Billiri, also known as Biliri or Tangle, is a town located in Gombe State, Nigeria. It serves as one of the state's 11 Local Government Areas and covers a total area of 737 square kilometers. The settlement is situated south of Gombe, bordered by the Akko Local Government Area to the north, Shongom to the south and east, and the Kaltungo Local Government Area to the northeast.
The town is primarily inhabited by the Tangale people, who form the dominant majority of the population. The Tangale language is the native tongue of the inhabitants and is widely spoken throughout the area, though Hausa is also a common language used in the region. According to the 2006 census, Billiri had a population of 202,144, and the area uses the postal code 771.
