Biliri

Billiri, also known as Biliri or Tangle, is a town and one of the 11 Local Government Areas located in Gombe State, Nigeria. It is situated south of Gombe and is bordered by the Akko Local Government Area to the north, Shongom to the south and east, and Kaltungo Local Government Area to the northeast.

The town serves as a major settlement for the Tangale people, who constitute the dominant majority of its inhabitants. The Tangale language is the native tongue of the area and is widely spoken, while Hausa is also commonly used throughout the region. As of the 2006 census, Billiri had an area of 737 km² and a population of 202,144.
