Port Harcourt is a port city located in Nigeria and serves as the capital and largest city of Rivers State. Situated along the Bonny River, it is positioned within the oil-rich Niger Delta region.

The city is the fifth most populous urban center in Nigeria, following Lagos, Kano, Ibadan, and Benin. As of 2023, its urban population is approximately 3,480,000, reflecting significant growth from a 1950 population of 59,752.
