Elele is a medium-sized town located in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. It serves as one of the major cities within the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State. The town has an estimated population of approximately 20,620 residents.
The community is situated roughly 42 kilometres (26 mi) from Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, and about 445 kilometres (276 mi) from Abuja, the national capital of Nigeria. A notable landmark in the town is Madonna University, which is located within the Elele area.
