Jos

Jos is the administrative capital and largest city of Plateau State, located in the North-Central region of Nigeria. Known popularly as "J-Town," the city had a population of approximately 900,000 residents according to the 2006 census. It serves as a significant transportation hub, connecting most of the North-Eastern capitals to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, by road.

The city is situated on the Jos plateau within the Guinea Savannah. The surrounding landscape is characterized by mountainous scenery and steep, winding roads typical of the high-altitude terrain from which the state derives its name.
