Otan-Ayegbaju is a historic town located in Yorubaland, Nigeria. It serves as the headquarters for the Boluwaduro Local Government Area and is situated near several other towns, including Eripa, Iresi, Igbajo, Oke-irun, and Oyan.
The town was founded approximately 800 years ago by descendants of Oduduwa. Specifically, it was established by Olasooye Osilokun Osiloye, who was the 16th child of Oduduwa and migrated from Ifẹ. Additionally, Otan-Ayegbaju serves as the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo Marian pilgrimage, also known as Oke-Maria.
