Osogbo

Osogbo is a city located in Nigeria that served as the capital of Osun State starting in 1991. It occupies an approximate land area of 126 square kilometers and has a population of about 200,000 people. The city serves as the headquarters for both the Osogbo Local Government Area and the Olorunda Local Government Area.

Geographically, Osogbo is situated approximately 88 kilometers northeast of Ibadan by road. It lies roughly 108 kilometers south of Ilorin and 108 kilometers northwest of Akure. Due to its central location within the state, it is easily accessible from various regions, maintaining proximity to nearby towns such as Ife, Ilesa, Iwo, Ikire, and Ila-Orangun.
