Ajaokuta is a Local Government Area (LGA) located in Kogi State, Nigeria. It contains a town of the same name situated on the left bank of the Niger River.
The headquarters for the Ajaokuta Local Government Area are located in the town of Egayin, which is positioned in the southern part of the area at coordinates 6°40′11″N 8°48′19″E.
