Bunza is a Local Government Area (LGA) located in Kebbi State, Nigeria. The administrative headquarters for the area are situated in the town of Bunza.
The local government area was established in 1975 during a reform under the General Murtala administration, at which time it was carved out of the former state of Sokoto. Over time, portions of Bunza were used to create other administrative divisions, including Suru Local Government Area in 1991 and Kalgo LGA in 1996.
Bunza shares geographical boundaries with several neighboring areas. It is bordered by Dandi and Arewa LGAs to the north, Kalgo LGA to the east, and Suru LGA to the south and west.
