Birnin Kudu is a town and Local Government Area located in the southern region of Jigawa State, Nigeria. It is situated approximately 120 kilometres (75 mi) south-east of Kano.
As of 2006, the town had an estimated population of 419,800 residents. Birnin Kudu serves as the most populous local government area within Jigawa State.
