Babura is a town and Local Government Area situated in the northern region of Jigawa State, Nigeria. It serves as a significant administrative division within the state, sharing borders with several neighboring local governments across three different states.
The town is bordered by Baure Local Government of Katsina State to the north, Kazaure to the west, Sule Tankarkar to the east, and Danbatta Local Government of Kano State to the south. The current District Head of Babura, who also serves as the Sarkin Bai of Ringim for the Ringim Emirate Council, is Alhaji Muhammad Nata’ala Mustapha. He ascended to the throne in April 2019 following the death of his brother, Alhaji Hadi Mustapha Musa, of the Bani Ya Musa clan.
