Sapele is a city located in Nigeria. The name is also associated with Entandrophragma cylindricum, a tree belonging to the genus Entandrophragma within the Meliaceae family.
This tree species is commonly referred to as sapele, sapelli, or sapele mahogany. It is also known by several other names, including aboudikro, assi, and muyovu.
