Girei is a town and local government area situated in Adamawa State, Nigeria. It is geographically positioned along the banks of the Benue River.
The region is primarily inhabited by the Fulɓe (Fulani) people, though a significant population of Bwatiye also resides in villages such as Greng and Labondo within the local government area. The primary occupations for residents in this area are farming and cattle rearing. Additionally, Girei serves as the home to Radio Gotel.
