Zungeru is a town located in Niger State, Nigeria. Situated along the banks of the Kaduna River, it serves as a notable geographical point within the region.
Historically, Zungeru served as the capital of the British protectorate of Northern Nigeria from 1902 until 1916. In contemporary times, the town is known as the site of the Niger State Polytechnic.
