Omu-Aran is a town located in the Kwara State of Nigeria. It serves as the headquarters for the Kwara-South Senatorial District and functions as the local government headquarters for the Irepodun Local Government Area. The town is situated approximately 86.3 km (53.6 mi) from Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, along the Ilorin-Kabba Federal Highway.
Historically, Omu-Aran originated from Ife and is recognized as the Head Post of Ìgbómìnàland. It remains a significant administrative center within its region.
