Gezawa

Gezawa is a Local Government Area located in Kano State, Nigeria. The administrative headquarters for the area is situated in the town of Gezawa. It covers a total area of 340 km2 and had a recorded population of 282,069 during the 2006 census.

The local government area council is composed of several communities, including Jogana, Mesar-Tudu, Gawo, Zango, Danzaki, Tumbau, Wangara, Sararin-Gezawa, Babawa, Ketawa, and Tsamiya-Babba. The majority of the population belongs to the Hausa and Fulani ethnic groups.

Islam is the predominant religion practiced in the region. The primary languages spoken by the local population are Hausa and Fulfulde.
